Fresh Oden, fast service!

I popped into Family Mart last week and grabbed some Oden. It was so fresh and warm, just what I needed! The staff were super quick and friendly too. I'll definitely be back for more Oden soon, maybe try a different flavor next time. It's a great spot for a quick, tasty bite.

Reliable for lunch, quick pickup

I usually get my lunch from Family Mart a couple of times a week. Last time, I ordered a Bento box and an Iced latte through their app for pickup. The ordering process was smooth, and it was ready right when I got there, which saved me a lot of time during my lunch break. The Bento box was a chicken teriyaki one; it tasted fresh and was a good portion for the price. The latte was decent, not too sweet. I like that I can just grab and go without much fuss. Their selection of ready-to-eat meals is pretty extensive, and I appreciate the variety. It makes figuring out lunch much easier.

Good coffee, decent pastries

I dropped by Family Mart on my way to work and picked up a hot coffee and a pastry. The coffee was pretty good, hit the spot. The pastry was fine, nothing super special but fresh enough. It's convenient for a quick breakfast grab when I'm in a hurry. The store was clean and easy to navigate.

Hey guys, thinking of trying out some of their Oden stuff. Are they actually good and fresh? Like, I'm a bit wary of convenience store food usually.

G Gwen Y. 1 month ago
Yeah, their Oden is actually pretty solid. I always get the Fumi egg and the crab stick, it's hot and fresh whenever I go. Haven't had a bad experience yet.

It's decent for convenience store quality. I think they get new stuff daily? At least that's what I heard. You can usually see them refilling it. Not gourmet but hits the spot.

Are the Sofuto ice creams worth the hype? I keep seeing them everywhere but haven't tried one yet. Any specific flavor to recommend?

N Nina 1 month ago
OMG yes, the Sofuto is amazing! The Matcha one is my absolute favorite, it's not too sweet. You should definitely try it.

They're pretty good, especially for the price. I'd say try whatever seasonal flavor they have, those are usually fun. Otherwise, the original vanilla or chocolate are safe bets.

Anyone know if you can use like, a normal credit card there? Or is it all TNG and e-wallets these days?

J Josh L. 4 weeks ago
Pretty sure they take credit cards. I've used my Visa there before, no problem. Cash works too obviously.

B Beth Kim 4 weeks ago
Yeah they do, afaik. But I usually just use TNG because of the cashback promos they always have. Easier than fumbling with cards sometimes.

Does FamilyMart have any student discounts or anything? Or is it mostly just the app promos for everyone?

M Megan Whitfield 1 month ago
I think they do have student discounts sometimes! Check the app, or ask at the counter. I've seen posters for it before, but it might be specific items or times.

Yeah, I remember seeing a student promo on some drinks and snacks a while back. It's usually advertised in store or on their social media. Otherwise, the app is your best bet for deals, especially the member prices.

Anyone compared the food quality between FamilyMart and like, CU or emart24? Trying to decide which one to hit up for a quick dinner.

R Renee 1 month ago
FamilyMart definitely wins for Oden and their Bento boxes are usually more interesting. CU has some good Korean stuff but overall FamilyMart feels fresher.

I think FamilyMart's range of ready-to-eat is better. Their Onigiri game is stronger too. CU has some cool unique snacks but for a meal, FM usually has more options.
